Amanzi Blue Event Solutions exists with the purpose of providing support services for the special events industry (e.g. exhibitions, conferences, shows, sporting events, etc). Our main focus is on Front of House staff. We offer a reliable, high-quality alternative for event management companies that have a need for event staff, but prefer not to maintain a large pool of their own permanent staff.

A true alternative to in-house resources, we offer a very high level of practical experience, know-how, contacts, and confidentiality. Our current clients take comfort in knowing that their relationship with Amanzi Blue is seamless and that their events will run smoothly and according to plan. We always ensure that the client’s requests and requirements are heard, honoured and accommodated wherever possible.

Amanzi Blue is unique in that we do not operate as a labour broker. Instead, we manage our own staff and, at times, the part of the event for which our services are retained. Event managers are often overloaded with responsibilities and welcome the chance to delegate certain functions to Amanzi Blue, knowing that there is always accountability and a proven track record.

Amanzi Blue was founded by Yaz Amien-Skazikis, when after several years in the industry she saw a need for a truly great event staffing company that specialized in the Front of House aspect of an event. Amanzi Blue is a BEE venture with 100% black female ownership. Over the past decade, Yaz has had extensive experience in events, specifically in the areas of theatre, Front of House, backstage, box office; stage managing, lighting, sound, fashion shows, and staff training.

The strength of our training programme is another factor that sets Amanzi Blue apart. We know that event staff are the voice and public face of an event, and are often required to manage a variety of enquiries, requests and incidents with the utmost diplomacy and the least possible disruption to the event. To this end, we train our staff in Health & Safety, Fire Awareness, and Customer Service. This is in addition to the thorough briefings on each specific event’s requirements.

When we recruit our Amanzi Blue team members, we look for candidates who are courteous, well presented and well spoken, intelligent, resourceful and pleasant to deal with. Through ongoing management interaction, we develop these characteristics as well as specific event-related skills.
