Amanzi Blue is an events-driven company. Our hours are flexible and depend on the nature of each event. For this reason, we only offer part-time rather than full-time employment.
We have the same high standards for our part-time staff members as many companies have for their full-time employees, and in return our staff members are treated as part of the Amanzi Blue family. All our staff members receive training in Health & Safety, Fire Awareness, and Customer Service when they first join, and continue to receive ongoing training related to the events on which they work.
There are many different tasks which you might be called on to perform as an Amanzi Blue staff member (according to your skills and aptitude). For example:
• Fashion Show Dresser (helping models change outfits - girls only, sorry boys!)
• Packing promotional bags for conferences and other events
• Ushering guests and delegates to their seats
• Ticket Sales
• Coat check
• Lobby Attendant
• Meet & Greet
• Registration Staff
• Roving Microphone
• Runner
• Stage Hand
• And many more!
If you would like to join our team, you will need to:
1. Be a student (you will have to bring your student card or proof of registration with you on induction day)
2. Complete the online Applicant Details Form.
3. Successfully complete a free one-day Induction course. Our business relies on our staff members interacting well with other people and having great attitudes. For this reason, we prefer to assess staff based on group sessions rather than traditional interviews. The one-day course will also give applicants a sense of what would be expected of them as Amanzi Blue staff members. NEXT WORKSHOP DATE: Monday, 1 March 2010
